Why Feng Shui?
Your surroundings exert a huge influence on your life. They affect your personal health, happiness and wealth and have a direct bearing on the opportunities that come to you. When practiced correctly, it can be life changing. Proper Feng Shui alignment creates an environment with improved energy flow to support you and your goals. This can lead to an overall sense of well-being, better health, improved relationships and social life and increases in professional success.
Do I have to believe in Feng Shui for it to work?
Traditional compass Feng Shui is based on physics; cause and effect. If you implement the recommendations we discuss, you will create a cause, an effect will occur. Most would say there is no need for anyone to believe...but I personally believe that positive thought always helps! If you've ever read "The Secret", you know how positive affirmations and visualizing your dreams becoming a reality can have a powerful effect in your life.
What makes your consultations unique?
My background in communications and psychology definitely help me to be a good listener, which is key to creating a space that feels good to YOU... not something that reflects my taste or style (unless you want it to!). I do not call myself a 'Master' of Feng Shui, as you might see others refer to themselves in this business. I am constantly learning, expanding my skills, and incorporating new techniques. Are recommendations expensive?
As often as possible, we will utilize the items that you already own, love and feel comfortable with. Most often, I make suggestions for simple changes in position of furniture and décor. If you're interested, we can talk about additional design elements to spice up the space. That may include paint, window coverings, area rugs, et cetera, but only at your request. (Please go to Custom Design Services to find out more about help with shopping and decorating.) All recommendations are made with consideration to your budget, aesthetics and personal taste.
What if I have questions after my consultation?
At the conclusion of our meeting, you will feel like all of your questions have been addressed. I will leave you with a complete summary of the visit, including recommendations and helpful tips, and I will always follow up with an email to make sure you have all of the information you need. At any time, you are more than welcome to send an email with questions. Basic follow-up information will be provided without charge if no physical visit is required.
How long will it take to see results?
Most people feel a sense of empowerment and positivity immediately. As you incorporate the changes we discuss, you will start to notice happy coincidences and wonder "Is this because of the Feng Shui?" I will give you specific techniques and tips on how to be aware of the subtle (and not so subtle) changes in your life. Your effort, positivity and good intentions for your space will be rewarded!
Is a Space Clearing & Home Blessing required?
Absolutely not, however, I do recommend them. The space clearing technique used in my practice is a sound clearing (with bells). It works on the principles of harmonics and physics to realign the energy built up in our physical environment: walls, furnishings, and belongings.
It is part of the consultation I love because it creates an immediate, noticeable difference in the environment- almost like a sparkle.
